  PAN
.In Greek mythology, Pan was a 'rustic' God of Nature; the shepherd god of woods and pastures.
One day, Pan tried to woo Syrinx, the water nymph. He  pursued her to the river, where terrified, she cried out to her father, the River God Ladon.
" Please Father, save me from him, change me into a reed"
Full of sorrow at his loss, Pan took some reeds from the water's edge and made a flute of sorts. He gave it her name; Syrinx otherwise known as
Pan-Pipes.
